China Tour Opens Doors
for Consciousness-Based Education

Dr. John Hagelin recently led a delegation of educators and scientists on a national tour of China to introduce Consciousness-Based education there and to correlate its principles with the ancient Chinese wisdom of the Tao te Ching. Dr. Hagelin and the panel spoke at schools across China, and these presentations resonated powerfully with China’s evolving values and its keen desire to employ the most advanced and effective educational innovations. Six agreements have now been signed by Chinese school principals to introduce Consciousness-Based education into their schools, and officials of Chinese education bureaus have now endorsed the principles of Consciousness-Based education and are supporting its introduction.

During the China tour, perhaps the most striking experience was the profound emotional response to the presentations. At the start of the presentations, students and faculty alike were subdued and very serious, but by the end they were very happy and enthusiastic about the programs, mobbing the speakers as they left the hall.
